Reflections – We Remember Aaron

Life is not about what we do, but it is how we do it with our whole heart. Life is not about what we accomplish, but how we have attained it.  I want to be remembered not for what I had, but what I contributed to my fellowman.  I want to ultimately be remembered as a Man of Love, Peace, Joy, and Accomplishment….

On Friday, January 20, 2017, the Day our  45th President of the United States was inaugurated; amid the celebration and uncertainty, the Spirit of Aaron Abram McCoy II transitioned into the eve of eternity; for to be absent in the body is to forever be in the glorified presence of the Lord.

Aaron was born on July 9, 1973 at Metropolitan General Hospital in Cleveland Ohio. He was the son of the late Aaron Abram McCoy, Sr. and Eyvonne Harvey McCoy Green.  Aaron was a handsome, precocious, and innovative little boy.  His mother called him “Peanut”, because he was so cute and tiny.  Aaron was seven months old when his father passed away on March 4, 1974.

Aaron and His Family moved to Lynchburg, Virginia in December 1979. He attended Villa Maria Academy and Lynchburg City Schools during his formative years.  Aaron was baptized and became a member of New Life Gospel Assembly under the pastor ship of Minister Golden T. Darby.  He graduated from Heritage High School on June 1991, and graduated in the field of Technology and Computer Science from ECPI Institute in Virginia Beach, VA in 1993.  After graduation, Aaron was employed as a Network and software specialist at Technology and Network Consultants in Charlotte, North Carolina.

In 1997 Aaron relocated to Cleveland, Ohio. During his tenure in Ohio he worked successfully as a Software and Network Specialist at Cleveland Clinic Hospital and other entities.

He realized the dream of being the sole proprietor of his own business, and became the President/Proprietor at McCoy’s Computer and Network Technologies.

Aaron’s business clientele was vast. He established and maintained friendships with his colleagues.  His knowledge and expertise of Network and Computer Technology was always incomparable.

Aaron’s faith in God was evident at all times. The volatile word aneurysm was never something that he felt would defeat him.  He earned the respect and admiration of his peers, Vascular Physicians and Cardiologists; he taught them what it means to have faith, trust God and how God can heal and change even the most complex diagnosis.  God blessed Aaron with Seven More Years from the Date of His First Aneurysm on January 19, 2010.  The number 7 in the scriptures has nothing to do with luck, but indicates completion and Divine Perfection.  God’s completion of the life of a Great Man, Aaron Abram McCoy II; all things completed in God’s Perfect time.

Aaron leaves to celebrate his life: his mom and dad, Roy and Eyvonne Green; 3 sisters, Kimberlee (Freddie) Wilson, April Green and Royce Ann Green; his paternal grandmother, Clara M. McCoy; 3 uncles, 13 aunts, 2 great aunts; Laynora Henry, and Florence Elliott; his godparents, T.J. and Jacqueline Wilkerson, Janice Carrington and Sylvia Shields; 6 nephews, 3 nieces, 1 great nephew, 1 great niece, numerous cousins, other relatives and lifelong friends.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at Love & Truth Community Church Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.  The family is receiving friends at the home of his parents – 102 Miles Place Lynchburg, VA.

His remains will lie in repose one hour before the service.

“I have fought a good fight; I have finished my course,

And I have kept the faith:

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness,

Which the Lord, the Righteous Judge,

Shall give me at that day:

And not to me only, but unto all

Them also that love His appearing.”

2 Timothy 4:7-8 KJV

Respectively submitted with our love and appreciation,
