Abigail Christine Bass

Abigail Christine Bass, 44, of Asheville, NC, unexpectedly passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024. 

Abigail was born on March 19, 1980, in Asheville, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Randall J Bass and Janet P Solle’(Edward). 

Abby radiated beauty and attracted people with kindness, wit, warmth, sense of humor, and an open heart. She was unique in this world, and those of us that had the honor of being called her friend, have something special that cannot be taken away. She spent time in her last years, volunteering at a hospice center, as a companion and comfort for patients in their final days. Abigail graduated from Owen High School, earned a bachelor’s degree at Western Carolina University, and worked as a Billing Coordinator. Abby will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered, as she rests in the peace of Jesus. 

She is survived by her brother Zachary L Bass (Christy), her sisters, Jessica B Gridley (Michael), and Emily B Mitchell (Gabriel), eight nieces and nephews, Calvin John, Linden Christine, Keaton Thomas, Nathan John, Kenlie Abigail, Isaac Gabriel, Kase David, and Kye Zachary. She will be greatly missed by her uncle and aunts, Alexander Prince (Carmen), Mara P Busuttil (Ernest), and Elizabeth P Dubon (Jose). Abby was adored by her cousins, India, Alexander, Haley, Janean, Daniel, Kelly, Anthony, and Christopher. She had a host of close friends that loved her like family. While so many of us long for Abby to be back on this earth, there are many beautiful souls (including her precious mother), that are rejoicing with her in heaven. 

Abigail Christine Bass, may the Lord bless you and keep you, may He make his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; May the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. 

The family will hold a memorial service for Abigail, at a later date.
