Ada McCoy Hamner

Ada Leigh Hamner 91, formerly of 414 H Street, Lynchburg, Va. Passed away peacefully at Tate Springs Health & Rehabilitation on February 23, 2024, she was preceded in death by her husband John Hamner Sr, and her two children John Hamner Jr., and Ruby Virginia Hamner, she is also preceded in death by her mother and father Ruby G. McCoy and Andrew S. McCoy, her brothers Harold, Robert, Richard, and Joseph and one sister Rosemond Garrison.

Born in Lynchburg Va, she is survived by her loving daughter Virty L. Hamner (Lela), four grandchildren, Deon Hamner of Richmond, Va., Sean Hamner, Adrian Miller and Krystle Miller of Maryland, sister Ersie V. McCoy Thomas, brothers Caroll McCoy and Mitchell McCoy all of Lynchburg, Va., two sisters in laws Elizabeth Travers of Washington D.C., and Ann A. McCoy of Lynchburg. A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 1:00pm, viewing will be one hour prior to service, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, Va.
