Addie Glenola Trent

Addie Glenola Trent, 93, born June 21, 1921, passed on July 25, 2014. She was the loving wife of Hurley T. Trent for 72 years. She is survived by her children, Glenda Lalone, and her husband, Bob; Cheryl Tate, and her husband, Donnie, Meryl Smith, and her husband, Bob, and Hurley Thomas (Tom) Trent, Jr., and his wife, Valinda, and a son-in-law, Fred Simoniz. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, sisters, Rosa Tweedy, Helen Johnson, and Alice Jean Childress; brother Clayton, and his wife, Shelby, brother-in-law, David Trent, his wife Lorrain and sister-in-law, Pauline Thornhill, and dear friend, June Alderson

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Simoniz; brothers, Charles Trent, Lee Trent, and sisters, Kathleen Tweedy, and Myrtis Harding. A very special Thank You to Ana and George Hatmaker, along with the loving staff at their residence.

Tharp Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements, with visitation Sunday, July 27th from 2pm to 4pm. The service will be held Monday, July 28th at 1:30pm at Tharp Funeral Home, with Dr. Dennis Hollandsworth and the Rev. George D. Hatmaker officiating. Burial will be at New Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Rustburg,
