Addison Ray Hudson

Addison Ray Hudson, 67, of Lynchburg died Thursday February 6, 2014. He was the devoted husband of Jacquelyn Pillow Hudson.

Ray was born September 19, 1946 in Lynchburg a son of the late Addison Vaughan Hudson and the late Margaret Collins Hudson. Ray was retired from the City of Lynchburg and was a 34 year member of the Moose Lodge #715. He was also a member of Forest Road United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter Bonnie Yancey and husband Jerry of Evington, a son Raymond Todd Hudson and fiancée Audrey Walker of Lynchburg, two step-daughters: Marsha Bryant of Lynchburg and Serina Hawkins and husband Billy of Glenwood, AR, two sisters: Linda MacDonald and Karen Hudson both of Lynchburg, ten grandchildren: Tabitha Pugh Yancey, Dustin Yancey and wife Summer, Brooke and Hailey Hudson, Scott Jennings, Jacob Hudson, Amber and Ashley Closs, Stephen Nicolai, Jenny Hawkins, Kaley and Steven Walker, six great-grandchildren, his ex-wife and friend Brenda Kegley and husband Monte, a special Centra Hospice Nurse Jessica Clark, and good friend and neighbors Tommy and Melanie Dalton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Stanley Vaughan Hudson, and his beloved dog \"Bartok\".

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday February 9, 2014 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg and all other times at his home 2219 Old Forest Road.

A Celebration of Ray\"™s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday February 10, 2014 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg with Chaplain Christine Payden-Travers officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
