Adolfo Fojaco Alvarez
Adolfo Fojaco Alvarez, 84, of Forest, VA, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010.
Born October 04, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of the late Adolfo Alvarez and Aurora Alvarez.
He was the husband of Martha Sanchez Alvarez for 45years. He is survived by two daughters, Susan Nelson and her husband, Danny of McKinney, TX, Lorraine Posey and her husband, Craig of Forest; and two grandchildren, Carynne and Jonathan Posey.
Adolfo was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him Thanks to all the staff at Guggenheimer Nursing Home for all the loving care and attention you gave him over the last eight years.
A Mass of Resurrection service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 in the Commons of Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Salvador Añonuevo officiating. Following a reception at the church, interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 19, 2010 from 5:00-7:00 p.m., with a rosary service at 6:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Holy Cross Catholic Church Restoration Fund, 710 Clay Street, Lynchburg, VA, 24504.
