Alexander Kwesi Frempong, was born on July 4, 1957, to the union of the late Kwame Forson and the late Agnes Owusu- Forson in Agona Swedru, Ghana. Alex, or Bro. Kwesi, as he was popularly called accepted Christ at an early an age and was baptized at the Agona Swedru Methodist Church. After graduating from Swedru Salvation middle school, he proceeded to the SDA College of Education to train as professional teacher. He later enrolled in the University of Ghana to pursue his Bachelor’s in Education. Alex met the love of his life, Esther Payne and they married in 1984.
Alex was a member of the Tree of Life ministries where he served faithful as part of the praise and worship team until his passing. He was a man of great character; very disciplined and has always been a sharp dresser. During his leisure, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He was a faithful reader of the bible and newspaper and enjoyed watching sports.
Alex departed this life on Monday, May 2, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father, Kwame Forson, and mother, Agnes Owusu-Forson.
In addition to his wife, he leaves behind to his cherish memory; a son, Alexander Ato Frempong; two daughters, Victoria Frempong and Linda Dadson, ten grandchildren, seven siblings, eight nieces, seven nephews, two sons-in-law, a daughter-in-law, and a host of many loving relatives, friends, and church community.
Alex had a such a generous spirit and pleasant personality. He loved and was loved by so many. His Christian life and commitment were admirable, and his influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him.
A visitation, and memorial service will be held on May 28, 2022, from 10:00 am at Tharp Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Dodson officiating.
