Alfred Lukin Wright Jr. 51, of Lynchburg passed away Saturday, April 28th
at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Wanda W. Wright for twenty years.
Born October 25th 1960 in Lynchburg, Alfred was a son of Wilma Jean Gregory Wright and the late Alfred Lukin Wright Sr..
He is also survived by a son, Christopher S. Wright ( Lauren ) of Madison Heights, five daughters; Leanne N. Wright of Madison Heights, Chrissy M. Richey( Sean ) of Lynchburg, Jessica M. Walker ( Daniel ) of Evington, Jamie M. Frank (Jon) of Lynchburg and Elizabeth Major of Madison Heights, eight grandchildren; Lexus Watts, Jaden Hogan, Brandon Mullen all of Madison Heights, Daniel, Ajay, Nathan, & Kayla Walker of Evington and Devon Richey of Lynchburg.
He is also survived by a special aunt and \"little sister\", Charlotte Smallwood of Lynchburg, Donna Neighbors (Jimmie) of Maryland and Gloria Mann (Robert) of Fredericksburg; an uncle, Alton Gregory (Dianne) of Lynchburg and a sister in law, Vickie May of Roanoke,
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by; two brothers, Gregory K. Wright and Gary T. Wright and his grandparents; Josephine H. Wright and Alton C. and Ruby B. Gregory.
Alfred was a welder by profession but his heart was in the great outdoors, he loved hunting, fishing, playing with animals, listing to bluegrass music and meeting people.
His outgoing personality will be missed by all.
The family will receive friends, today, May 1, 2012 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A celebration of Alfred\"™s life will be conducted at 12:00pm on May 2, 2012, at Chestnut Hill Baptist Church with the Reverend Randy Bowyer officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Campbell County Rescue Squad or the Lynchburg Humane Society.
