Alfred Thomas Overstreet, 87, of Springfield, VA passed away, Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Bedford Memorial Hospital. Alfred was born on April 3, 1928 in Bedford County.
He was a graduate of Montvale High School and attended Roanoke College. He retired from the United States Secret Service Uniform Division at the White House.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Overstreet. A loving husband of 64 years to Irene E. Overstreet; two children, Anita Happoldt and Wanda Overstreet; four grandchildren, Kellie Payne, Brandi Overstreet, Dylan Overstreet and Danny Happoldt; two great-grandchildren, Gabriella Payne and Julian Payne.

Graveside services will be held at Virginia Memorial Park, Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Pastor David Whitehurst officiating. The family welcomes any guests to Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford on Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 9:00 until 10:00 AM for an informal visitation.
