She served her country for four years in the U.S. Army and worked in the healthcare field as a CNA.
Alfreda leaves to cherish and rejoice her memory, her son, John David Isaac “Bug” Ashley, Sr. who she loved and he loved his Mama beyond measure; grandchildren, John David Isaac Ashley, Jr., and Raè John David Ashley, who both loved their grandmother unconditionally; sister (and look-a-like), Charlene Pannell will forever miss everything about her sister; also devoted and protective, nieces and nephews who will always and forever be there for “Bug” and “grandkids”; aunts; Gracie A. Sadler, Virgie P. Jones. Virginia Davis and Joyce Barnette; many devoted, dedicated and loyal friends that were apart of our family. We all appreciate and love you dearly.
