Alice Elizabeth Mouzon, 80, of Lynchburg, died Wednesday, September 20, 2017.
Alice was born on May 24, 1937 in Arlington, Va., to the late James Lynn Bayles and the late Rebecca Elizabeth Dillow.
Alice began working at the age of 14 when she had her first child. She was a waitress all of her life and she worked at Steak in a Sack for many years. She raised her five children as a single mother.
Alice is survived by her sons Doy Sipes and his wife, Debbie, of Bedford, Allan Sipes and his wife, Karen, of West Virginia, Jim Case, Jr., of Lynchburg, and John Case and his wife, Selina of Madison Heights, Va.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Clark and Ruth Bayles; a host of nieces and nephews, including a special niece Cindy Rexrode; a special friend Marsha Wood, a very special grandson, Christopher Sipes and a very special great-granddaughter, Princess Ava Sipes.
Along with her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her brother Richard Bayles; three sisters, Beulah Bayles Holt, Barbara Bayles, and Betty Bayles; a daughter Sandra Case; and her three husbands Carl Sipes, Jimmy Case, and William “Mo” Mouzon.
A memorial service for Alice will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Murrill Hill United Methodist Church in Bloomery, W. Va., at 2:00 p.m. with J.C. Collins officiating. Interment will take place at Quantico National Cemetery in Quantico, Va., at a later date.
