Alice Cleola Wilson Martin, 82, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2016 at the home of her daughter’s residence in Amherst. She was the loving wife of the late Bobby Wayne Martin.
Born September 10, 1934 in Bedford County, she was a daughter of the late Council James Wilson and Cleola Margaret Spencer Wilson. She is also preceded in death by a great-grandson.
Alice is survived by her three sons; Roland Wayne Martin and wife, Raven, Mark Everette Martin, Marshall James Martin and wife, Gloria Jean; two daughters, Sandra Martin Newby and husband, Will, Molly Martin Hutcherson, and husband Steve; 9 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Friday, December 23, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Sedalia Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sedalia Baptist Church, 1072 Charlemont Road, Big Island, VA 24526.
