Allan Frederick Tuthill

Allan Frederick Tuthill, 74, of Forest, died on Thursday, February 4, 2016. He was the husband of Helen Wernikowski Tuthill for fifty-two years. Allan was born on November 14, 1941 in Long Island, NY a son of the late Sherrill H. Tuthill and the late Hazel Hadel Tuthill.
Allan retired as Chief Accountant for Suffolk County in Riverhead, NY. He was a communicant and active member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Lynchburg, VA. He and Helen moved to Forest, VA in December 2006 after the birth of their first grandchild Anna.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Lisa Alderson and husband, Ed of Forest; one son, David Tuthill and wife, Kristena of Raleigh, NC; and three grandchildren, Anna Alderson of Forest, Kyleigh Tuthill of Raleigh, NC and Shayne Tuthill serving in the U. S. Army in South Korea.
A funeral mass will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church officiated by Monsignor Michael McCarron. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and again at a reception following the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the More Aid Fund, St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 3015 Roundelay Road, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
