Allen Stanley Faw, 70, of Moneta, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 2, 2015, after a long battle with cancer.
Born on Christmas Eve 1944, Allen was a son of the late Allen Thomas Faw and the late Evelyn Nesbeth McCoy Faw. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and worked at J.M. Turner as a purchasing agent.
Left behind to cherish Allen’s memory are his children, Travis A. Faw and his wife, Gwen, and Tracy Joyce Faw; six grandchildren, Trevor Allen Faw, Samantha Lynn Faw, Conner Lane Faw, Daniel Wayne Scott, Victoria Ann Scott, and Alaina Rayne Faw; two sisters, Shirley Daniel and Darlene Faw Rice; two former spouses, Joyce Conner and Claudia Ann Faw; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, 2015, at Radford Baptist Church in Moneta. A funeral service will take place on Monday, July 6, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Radford Baptist Church with Pastor Karl Hofheinz officiating.
