Aloisia “Lois” Kappl Stickell Wyatt, 95 of Lynchburg, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Westminster Canterbury.

She was born in St. Johann im Pongau, Austria, on June 27, 1928, to the late Franz Kapl and Anna Heigenhauser Kapl.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husbands, Joseph Lester Stickell, Jr. and William Joseph Wyatt; sisters, Hedwig Bohmé, Erika Eley and Anna Marie Kapl, grandson, Jonathan Tarvin, stepson, Robert Wyatt, stepdaughters, Bonnie Wyatt Moulton and Brenda Wyatt Darago.

Lois retired from the Laborers International Union of North America in Washington, DC.  Known for her giving ways, she will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Christine Howard of Coffee City, Texas; daughter, Deborah Repass and husband, William (deceased), of Lynchburg; and stepson, William Wyatt, wife, Dottie, of LaPlata, Maryland; grandchildren, Jennifer Wright and husband, Michael, of Lynchburg, Virginia, Robert Weinger    of Covington, Virginia, Richard Tarvin, of Palestine, Texas; great-granchildren, Amy Branham, Brandon Braly, Damien Stepanek, Willow Stepanek, Lacy Tarvin, Aiden Tarvin, April Tarvin, Cadence Tarvin, Anthony Weinger, Brandon Weinger, Nick Weinger, Kirsten Weinger, Ayden Weinger, Aryanna Weinger, Drayken Weinger, Kaylee Weinger; great-great-grandson, Elijah Braly, and great-great-granddaughter Lydia Braly along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the memory and health care staff at Westminster Canterbury for their loving care.

Lois requested she be cremated.  A graveside service will be held at Virginia Memorial Park, 11490 Forest Road, Forest, VA at 1:30PM on Saturday, August 19th.  Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family. To send condolences, please visit www.tharpfuneralhome.com.
