Amanda Marie Nowlin

Amanda Marie Nowlin, 34, of Lynchburg, VA went to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 08, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was the loving wife of Osby Nowlin.

Amanda\"™s life began January 28, 1978 in Norfolk, VA to her proud parents; Paul Davis and Sherrie Blankenship Davis.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Paul and Gloria Davis.

In addition to her husband and parents, Amanda is survived by her maternal grandparents, Anna and Willis Blankenship, two sisters; Ashley Deal and Laurie Thomas, two nieces; Hannah Deal and Destiny Thomas, stepmother, Gail Davis and her beloved dog Mosely.

Amanda was an inspiration to all who had the privilege to call her family or friend. She will be remembered for her loving, compassionate, and caring nature; selflessly putting others needs before hers. She had a passion for reading that started at an early age and her life was a reflection of her favorite childhood book, \"The Giving Tree\". God, family and friends were Amanda\"™s lifeline but she was the glue that held her family together. She will be greatly missed by those she left behind but they celebrate that today she rejoices with the Lord!

A celebration of Amanda's life will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory in Lynchburg, VA with the Rev. Dr. Tom Bryant officiating. There will be a gathering immediately following the celebration at Tharp Funeral Home and the family welcomes you to stay, visit and share your loving memories of Amanda.
