Amber Nicole Simms, 17, of Lynchburg, died Monday, February 8, 2010. Amber was born February 11, 1992 in Lynchburg the daughter of Donald F. Simms, Jr. and his wife Belynda of Monroe and Dana Simms-Rioseco and her husband, David Rioseco of Lynchburg. Amber enjoyed being with her friends and spending time with her brothers and her sister was her best friend.
In addition to her parents, Amber is survived by sister, Autumn Simms and her brothers, Vinny and Cameron Morris, Hunter Simms, and Keane Rioseco and a nephew Joshua Rioseco. She is also survived by her paternal grandparents, Nancy and Sammy Leftwich of Huddleston, Donnie and Kathy Simms of Monroe, Val Cantoli of Monoe and Vince Cantoli of Amherst, her great grandmother Florence Kersey of Monroe, and her maternal grandparents, Sue and Robert Hubbard of Huddleston. Also surviving is her aunt, Barbara Overton and cousins Megan Ogden and Morgan Overton and her uncles Danny Gravely and his wife Tammy of Bedford, Dennis Simms and his wife Elizabeth of Forest, Jeff Tyree and his wife Jennifer of Alabama, long time friend Samantha Ramos and long time caregiver and friend, Tammy Henson, numerous cousins, friends and her dog Lexis.
A service will be conducted Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Living Water Ministries with Pastor Mack Almond officiating. Interment will follow at Virginia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 10, 1020 from 7:00 \"" 9:00 p.m.
