Amy Kathleen Kuenzi

Amy Kathleen Kuenzi, 48, of Lynchburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, August 5, 2013, after an almost two-year battle against cancer. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Richard Kuenzi. Born in Westfield, NY, August 12, 1964, she was the daughter of Vermont and Sally Blakeslee, Panama, NY. In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by one son, Ryan (Tiffany) Kuenzi, Rustburg, VA; one daughter, Richele (J. David) Walston, Lynchburg, VA; three grandchildren, Madeline Kuenzi, Clara Kuenzi, and William Walston,; two brothers, T. Dene (Pam) Blakeslee, Ashville, NY, and V. David (Amy) Blakeslee, Cumming, GA; and two sisters, Holly (Mike) Clark, Panama, NY, and Amanda Durnell, Kalamazoo, MI; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, William, Jr. and Eloise Kuenzi, Blanchardville, WI; and many caring in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Amy was known for her welcoming, lively, and loving personality. Amy was a follower of Christ and \"totally in love with Him\". She was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church for the past seven years. Amy was employed by Randolph College for the past eight years. She also studied many courses there, including some of her favorite subjects: art history and astronomy. Amy was a lover of the arts. She enjoyed creating stained glass pieces and photography, painting, and worshipping God through music. She was also an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00pm Saturday, August 10, 2013, at Pate Chapel, Thomas Road Baptist Church, Lynchburg, VA, with Pastor Jon Dupin officiating. The family will receive friends and guests at Pate Chapel between 1:00-2:00pm immediately prior to the memorial service. Friends and guests are invited to join the family for refreshments immediately after the service at Bruner Hall, adjacent to Pate Chapel.
