Once in a while a sweet, spirited soul enters the world and brings light to all that is around her. Amy Lowe Watson, 48, of Lynchburg, unexpectedly entered the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, April 7, 2021.
She was born on June 21, 1972, the daughter of John T. Lowe Sr. (Mary) and Evelyn Lowe Woody (Len). She was employed with Genworth as a Vendor Management Specialist and the Neighbors Place Restaurant.
She was preceded in death by her cherished uncle, Roger Hudgins, Sr. and her sister, Jennifer Ann Woody.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Chloe Alexandra Lowe; brothers, Dr. John T. Lowe and Jeff Woody (Celeste); sisters, Amber Lowe and Amy Woody Ferguson (Ben); special cousins, Michael Lowe and Chris Reynolds; Aunt Snaps (Patti Hudgins), (Aunt Merci) Mary Ann Reynolds and Aunt Linda; Uncle Frank Godsey; her former husband, Jerry Watson; adored nieces and nephews and beloved friends and neighbors; as well as her kitty fur babies Fetty, Gucci, and Bella.
Amy was blessed with the voice of an angel and shared it on many occasions. She was a past member of the TRBC choir and performed with the TRBC young believers. Amy auditioned with and was accepted by the group Up With People and traveled and performed worldwide.
She also participated in numerous Genworth community activities.
In her past years of working at Charley’s restaurant and more recently the Neighbors Place, Amy formed many endearing friendships that she treasured. Her amazing sense of humor and joy and love for her family and friends was a legacy that will remain to all who knew her.
A celebration of Amy’s life will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, April 19, 2021, in the Pate Chapel, TRBC Candlers Mt. Rd. with Charles Billingsley officiating. Visitation will be held at 4 p.m. prior to the service and at other times at the residence of her mother, 1015 Ivy Court Lane, Forest, Va.
