Andre Darnell Taylor, also known as “Dre”, age 56, of Roanoke, Virginia was called to the house of our Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 28, 2023, in Roanoke, Virginia. Andre was born on December 19, 1966, in Lynchburg, VA to the late Vester Darnell Taylor and Raymond Frances Taylor.
Andre graduated from Brookville High School in Campbell County. Virginia. Andre very much enjoyed one of his hobbies of drawing and gifting them to others. When Dre wasn’t drawing, he had other hobbies he enjoyed such as cooking, wrestling, and football. He spent most of work life in the restaurant industry cooking as he had a passion for cooking until his health no longer allowed him to continue. His love for football lead to becoming a diehard Miami Dolphin fan.
Andre is survived by his ex-wife and friend, Evelyn Taylor, and his siblings: a sister, Regina D. Ford (Bolivia, NC); 2 brothers: Terriss S. Taylor (Carla) (Lynchburg, VA) and Wayne Smith, Jr. (Roanoke, VA). Also, a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 11 A.M. at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.
