Andrew Jackson Hatter

Andrew Jackson Hatter, 74, of Bedford, died on Friday, August 3, 2012. He was the son of the late Andrew Harrison and Mary Frances Taylor Hatter.

 

Andrew is survived by two sons, Stuart Wayne Hatter and Marvin Lewis Hatter and friend, Teresa all of Winston-Salem, NC; a granddaughter, Bria Alyse Hatter; two sisters, Inez H. Karnes of Bedford and Barbara H. Waldron and husband, Jimmy Lee of Thaxton; and a sister-in-law, Martha J. Hatter of Goode.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Nelson Travis Hatter; two brothers, Edward H. Hatter and Earl Wayne Hatter; and two sisters, Hazel H. Parker and Irene Hatter Orange.

 

Andrew proudly served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard. He was a member of Longwood Baptist Church and worked for over twenty years a Rubatex.

 

A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford, with Pastor Turley and Rev. Geoff Hubbard officiating. Interment will follow at Peaks View Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends today, Monday, August 6, 2012 from 7:00\""9:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.
