Anita Ann Woodward Fallis, 79, passed away on July 1, 2016, at the home of her daughter, in Evington, Virginia.
Anita was born November 18, 1936 in Fallon, Nevada. She was the daughter of Grant Thomas Woodward and Ruth Hamlin Murray. She grew up in Fallon, Nevada and met her husband, Arvel in 1956. They married April 12, 1957 in Fallon and eventually settled there. Anita taught 5th grade at West End Elementary School for nearly forty years until she retired due to severity of multiple sclerosis.
In spite of her severe health problems, Anita remained happy and positive, never complaining. Even at the end, when she was very weak, she always had a quiet, “thank-you” for those who assisted her. Anita was one of the kindest and most patient people around. She loved to visit with people and always had a friendly smile for everyone.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert, (Bobby). She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Arvel Alonzo Fallis, her brother, George Woodward of Reno, Nevada, and three daughters: Jeanette Marie Foster (David) of Portland, Oregon, Barbara Ann Fallis Ansted (John) of Evington, Virginia, and Diana Fallis of Orem, Utah. She left behind ten grandchildren: Jessica Hale, Jared Hale, Julianne Hale, Jayden Hale, Sara Ansted, Katharine Christensen (Tyler), Benjamin Ansted (Amber), Jennifer Ansted, Ryan Fallis, and Hailey Fallis. She also had three great grandchildren: Bryson, Abigail, and Theo, all of whom she loved dearly. She will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral services will be held in Fallon, Nevada on Saturday, July, 16.
