Anita L Gordon Dulaney

Anita L. Gordon Spencer Dulaney passed away on January 23, 2019 after a short battle with cancer.She is preceded in death by a brother, Keith D. Gordon, paternal grandparents Luther M. Gordon and Lula M. Gordon, maternal grandparents Francis E. Dooley and Virgie W. Dooley, a special cousin Danny Williamson.

She is survived by her parents Franklin M. Gordon and Christine D. Gordon, daughter and caregiver Marlina E. Dunbar companion Jon Sutton, grandsons James A. Davis, and Joseph E. Davis, great-grand daughter Skylar G. Davis, son Gerald L. Spencer Jr. and wife Melissa S. Spencer, grandsons Shawn M. Spencer, Johnathon A. Spencer, Zachary R. Spencer, numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and friends.

I am writing this prior to my death and would like to thank my doctors for taking such good care of me, Dr. Heath, Dr. Merten, Dr. Manico, nurses and staff at Blue Ridge Cancer Care.

To my daughter, I am so glad you were here and able to help me through all the ups and downs we had.  I wouldn’t have changed it for the world.  I love you.

Don’t worry about anything but pray about everything.  With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God.  Then because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace. No one can completely understand.  And this peace will control the way you think and feel.

A memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Tharp Funeral Chapel in Bedford. Burial will follow the service at Holy Land Cemetery.
