Ann M. Williams, 86, of Hillsville, Virginia passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Carrington Place in Wytheville, Virginia.  Ms. Williams was born in Fort Kent, Maine to the late John Edward Goslin and Yvonne Potvin Goslin.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded by sisters, Doris Cray and Teresa Mahlstedt and brother, Louis Goslin and grandson, Matthew Williams-Semones, sons-in-law, Ernest Ballagh, Jr. and Ronnie Lyons.

 

She is survived by daughters, Debra A. Ballagh formerly of Lynchburg, Virginia and now, Hillsville, Virginia, Anita W. Lyons of Hillsville, Virginia and son and daughter-in-law, Eddie R. Williams (Sherry) of Wytheville, Virginia.  Grandchildren Amber M. Hartle (Daniel) of Lynchburg, Virginia, David M. Williams (Christina) of Wytheville, Virginia and Danielle W. Gamble (Hunter) of Wytheville, Virginia, Melissa Burleson of Laurel Fork, Virginia, Sheila (Terry) Quesenberry of Laurel Fork, Virginia, Scott Lyons of Hillsville, Virginia and Denise Lyons of Hillsville, Virginia.  Great grandchildren, Cutchen K. Gamble, Crewe G. Gamble, Jaxson K. Williams and Leah M. Taylor, Ethan Phipps, Mount Airy, North Carolina, Mickey Quesenberry, Laural Fork, Virginia and Emily (Isaac) Hall, Hillsville, Virginia; great, great-grandchildren, Bella Phipps and Tatum Hall; brother John Goslin and sister Arlene Kellberg.

 

Ann was a hard worker from an early age until her retirement after the age of 70.  She was a very independent person and didn’t like anyone trying to do things for her.  She was perfectly capable she would tell you in a heartbeat.  She will be missed by her family and friends.

 

A Funeral Mass will be held on, Friday, November 10, 2023, at 12 p.m. at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church in Lynchburg, Virginia. The family will receive friends at the church 30 minutes prior to service. 

 

Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
