Elaine Justice Smith, 76, of Forest, VA, died Friday, August 22, 2014. She was the wife of the late Raleigh Merriman Smith.
Born Thursday, January 13, 1938 in Erwin, TN, Elaine was a daughter of the late Karl Lee Justice and the late Magdalene Broyles Justice.
In addition to her husband and parents, Elaine was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Elaine is survived by her daughters: Angela Irby, of Forest, Michelle Vlahos and her husband, Steve Lippard, of Forest, and Blythe Nicole Smith, of Brooklyn, NY; seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
A celebration of Elaine’s life will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014, at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Crystal River, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the American Cancer Society, 2050 Langhorne Road, Suite 201, Lynchburg, VA 24501.
Tharp Funeral Home and Crematory, Lynchburg (434-237-9424) is assisting the family.
