Anna Lee Hutchens Leinart, 86, of Montvale, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 16, 1932 in Bedford Co. She was the daughter of the late James Syrian Hutchens and Molise Elsie Steppe Hutchens. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, George William Hutchens; sister-in-law, Patricia Hutchens and son-in-law, Wade Hellman.

Anna was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family and friends especially her grandkids. She was a wonderful quilter. She won an achievement award and was on national T.V. for her Bicentennial Quilt many years ago. She was a member of Faith Life Baptist Church in Montvale. She also enjoyed gardening and being outdoors.

Anna is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Ralph Eugene Leinart; three children, Gary Stephen Leinart and wife, Amy, Linda Leinart Harrison and husband, Dr. William “Bill” Harrison, Deborah Leinart Hellman; seven grandchildren, Billy Harrison and wife, Shanna, Melissa Leinart, Rebecca Leinart Johnson and husband, Matthew, Stephen Hellman and wife, LeeAnn, Ginny Harrison and husband, Dr. Yuri Shtridelman, Katie Heitz and husband, Dr. Chris Heitz  Jennifer Nash and husband, Alex; 10 great-grandchildren, Claudia, Jacob, Kierra, Caroline, Ellie, Henry, Mary Hazel, Benjamin, Claire and Beckett; brother, James Earl Hutchens, Sister-in-law, Ena Hutchens; also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service and celebration of Anna’s life will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Faith Life Baptist Church in Montvale with Roger McKinney officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Hutchens Family Cemetery also in Montvale. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00pm prior to the service also at the church.

The family request in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Faith Life Baptist Church in Montvale or American Heart Association.
