Anne Coleman Phillips, 85, of Lynchburg, VA, went to be with her Lord on Friday, January 11, 2013.
Born Thursday, July 21, 1927 in Lynchburg, VA, Anne was a daughter of the late Addison B. Coleman and the late Annie Pearson Coleman.
Anne is survived by three daughters: Pat Eubank, Peggy P. Pritchett and her husband, Wayland, and Penny P. Tolley and her husband, Steve; four grandchildren: Troy Stanley and his wife, Karen, Casey P. Bourne and her husband, Geoffrey, and Amy Tolley and Matt Tolley; two great grandchildren: Kate and Heather Stanley; a sister Ruby C. Tyree, two brothers: Carl E. Coleman and his wife, Daphne and Milton D. Coleman; two sisters-in-law: Dot Coleman and Liz Coleman, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by two brothers: Ray and Abe Coleman; two sisters: Jeanette Hogan and Nancy C. Snow; and a sister-in-law Lois M. Coleman.
Anne was a loving mother and grandmother. She especially loved her grandchildren. Anne was retired from General Electric, where she worked for over 30 years.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, and at other times at the residence of Anne\"™s daughter, Pat Eubank. A celebration of Anne's life will be conducted at 12:00 PM (noon) on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory with Wayland Pritchett and Clay Harvey officiating. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park.
