Anne Marie Hoffman, 95, of Lynchburg, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012. She was the loving wife of the late William Bertrand Hoffman for 68 years.
Anne was born November 30, 1916 in Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Charles William Gutekunst and Anna Brugel Gutenkunst. Anne was a devoted homemaker, wife mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an active member with the Scottish Rite Women\"™s Club and Forest Presbyterian Church.
Anne is survived by her daughter, Linda Janiak (Dennis) of Altavista, and her son, Craig Hoffman (Sook) of Fairport, NY. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren: Michelle Martin, Kelly deBernard, Jeffrey Janiak, Jeremy Hoffman, Craig Hoffman, Garrett Hoffman, Corey Hoffman, Daniel Hoffman, Cameron Hoffman, Connor Hoffman, Susan Sayles, Lisa Walsh, David Goltz, and 17 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Goltz.
A Memorial Service for Anne will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday May 14, 2012 at Forest Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Morgan Whitfield officiating. A reception will follow at the church. Inurnment will be held privately at Spring Hill Cemetery.
