Annie Ernestine Beverly Carter

Annie Ernestine Carter 79, of Madison Heights, took the hand of the lord to go to her Heavenly home on 9/24/2023.

Annie was the 11th of 12 children born on May 30, 1944, to the late Peter and Cora Beverly. At an early age, she gave her life to Christ and joined the Second Mineral Springs Baptist Church in Gladstone, Virginia. After relocating to Madison Heights, Virginia she later joined Scott Zion Baptist Church in Madison Heights, Va.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Joseph A. Carter.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, one son, Vincent Jackson of Lynchburg, Va. One granddaughter Sianah Reid of Rustburg, Va., and a devoted sister Ruth Bailey of Monroe, Va., a loving and caring sister-in-law, Alice R., Gardner of Lynchburg, and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.

“So, we are always confident, because we know that while we are living in the body, we are away from our home with the Lord. We live by faith and not by sight. We are confident, and we would prefer to leave the body and to be at home with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5 6-8 verse.

Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at 2:00 pm at ScottZion Baptist Church, A viewing will be held on September 27, 2023, At Tharp Funeral Home, Madison Heights, Va. from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm.
