Annie G. Harper, 86, departed this life on October 19, 2018 at Runk and Pratt Memory Care, Forest, Va.
Born on July 23, 1932 in Amherst County, Va., she received Christ at an early age and was a member of Timothy Baptist Church, Amherst, Va. She was married to the late Rev. Ernest E. Harper for over 50 years.
Annie was also preceded in death by her parents Creed, Sr. and Susie Rucker; brothers Hayward Rucker, Sr., Elvis Rucker, Sr. sister-in-law Barbara Ann Rucker; grandson Billy O’Bannon; and niece Beverly Rucker.
Left to cherish Annie’s memory are her sons, Ronnie Harper (Anita), Ernest Harper (Evelyne), and Keith Harper; daughter, Ernestine Calloway (Randy); siblings Uldine Richerson (Lawrence), Creed Rucker, Jr., (Vernice); grandchildren Steve O’Bannon (Deborah), Nicholas Harper (Patty), Randy Calloway, II and Iman Calloway; two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be from 11:00-1:00 on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. Va. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Private burial will be at Franklin Family Cemetery in Amherst County.
