April Wilmoth Harvey, 65, of Rustburg died Sunday April 27, 2014. She was the wonderful, loving and devoted wife of D. Nelson Harvey for 43 years.
April was born on December 17, 1948, the daughter of the late William Thomas Wilmoth and Mary Jane Wilmoth. In addition to being a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, April was a patient and attentive pre-school teacher for over 20 years. She excelled with the piano from an early age, playing the piano at New Chapel Baptist Church and also giving piano lessons.
In addition to her husband and mother, April leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Cerise Harvey and two grandchildren, Autumn Joy Anderson, and Alexandre Thomas Saffelle all of Rustburg.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 1st, 2014, at New Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Timothy Dooley officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a memorial gift to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016 or the New Chapel Baptist Church Building Fund, 2084 New Chapel Rd, Rustburg, VA 24588.
