Arlen Ray Brannon, 87, of Lynchburg, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2014. He was the loving husband of Doris Brannon for sixty-six years.
Ray was born on September 7, 1927, to the late Ottice G. and Madge K. Brannon. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, and worked at West Virginia University as an Agriculture Extension Agent.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon R. Brannon.
Ray leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Doris; two daughters: Gail Ann Beard and Rhonda C. Ulrich; three grandsons: Patrick C. Beard, Gregory S. Beard, and Andrew B. Ulrich; and his brother, Randall Brannon.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
