Arthur Ernest Pressl, 90, of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, died Wednesday, April 15, 2015 in Hardy, Virginia. He was the husband of the late Dorothy Irene Dietrich Pressl.
Born April 4, 1925 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Ernest John Pressl and Matilda Rose Hoffmann Pressl. Arthur is also preceded in death by a daughter: Sandy Jeanne Allen.
When growing up, Arthur was in the Boy Scouts; he later joined the U.S. Navy and served in WWII. Arthur played semi pro football for the Redskins in Roselle, N.J. He retired from Exxon Research and Engineering. He was also the former president of the local Kiwanis.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his son: Rick Pressl; daughters: Nancy Larson, Barbara Kilroy; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The family will hold a memorial service in New Jersey at a later date.
