Ashton Short

Ashton Casey Shawn Short, 21, of Goode passed away Friday, August 12, 2016. He is survived by his loving family: mother; Shawn Wilson Short; father: Vincent Andrew Short; brothers: Alden Vincent Short and wife, Jennifer, Andrew Jarrett Short; sister: Alainey Nanette Short; paternal grandparents: Sonny and Pat Short; maternal grandparents: Pearl and Jake Gross; god parents: Harvey and Janet Mays; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and so many friends that loved him.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Wayne Wilson.

Ashton was employed with Sentry Equipment.

Ashton loved to sing. He was always the life of the party. One couldn’t help but laugh when around him; he lived life to the fullest. Ashton always said he was the cornhole champion. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Brookhill Wesleyan Church at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will follow at Sedalia Baptist Church in Big Island.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 19, 2016 at Brookhill Wesleyan Church from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
