Audrey Fields Burke
Audrey Lorraine Fields Burke, 82, of Montvale died Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Lewis Gale Medical Center, Salem. She was born in Washington County on December 30, 1927, daughter of the late Walter Fields, Sr. and Mabel Mae McFaddin Fields.
She was the widow of Carroll Lee Burke, a member of Faith Life Baptist Church and was a retired Charge Nurse at Bedford Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy B. and Bernie Hall of Roanoke, Carol L. and Frank Davenport of Greenville, SC; two sons and daughters-in-law, David W. and Tracey Burke of Troutville, Walter F. and Misty Burke of Duffield; also eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Faith Life Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Basham officiating. Private burial will follow in the family cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, 586-3443.
