Avante' Juwonn Haskins

Mr. Avante’ Juwonn “A.J.” Haskins, descended into heaven on the glorious morning of January 18, 2021. A.J. as he was known to all, was born on June 30,1994 to Mr. Irvin Mandell Haskins Sr. and Ms. Wennoah D. Ross.
A.J. was preceded in death by his loving and caring paternal great-grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. James B. and Ella Mae Haskins; his maternal grandfather, Mr. Dennis Ross; maternal great-grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Willie and Jean Ross; and great-grandmother, Ms. Lou Ann Matthews.
He received his education in the Lynchburg City School System. Although he was not a member of a church, he knew God as his Lord and Savior.He leaves to carry on his lifestyle legacy, three brothers, Mr. Isaiah Harvey and Mr. Zakari Harvey both of Greensboro, N.C., and Mr. Irvin M. Haskins Jr. of Lynchburg, Va.; two sisters, Ms. Alayah Q. Haskins and Ms. Malayah M. Haskins of Lynchburg, Va.; a stepmother, Mrs. Karen W. Haskins; two stepbrothers, Mr. Jakel K. Trent, and Mr. Jamarius A. Trent; and a stepsister, Ms. Mahogany K. Trent, all of Lynchburg, Va.
Also his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Martha Ross “My Granny” as he called her; paternal grandparents, Mrs. Angela M. and Mr. Rodger Saunders ( his Nana and Papa.) all of Lynchburg, Va.; step grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Douglas and Savannah Anthony of Lynch Station, Va.; two uncles, Mr. Maurice Haskins and Mr. Michael L. Haskins of Lynchburg Va. A.J. had a group of cousins that loved him more than life itself, Ms. Brittany Rose, Mr. Ric’qual Haskins, Ms. Kaliyah Haskins and Ms. Kenya Tabron are just the beginning of the family members that loved him; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.

A.J. will lie in repose from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021 in Forest Hill Burial Park, 2310 Lakeside Drive, Lynchburg, VA 24501.
The family will receive friends at different times at the residence of his father, Mr. Irvin Mandell Haskins, Sr. (Karen), 109 Willow Street, Lynchburg, VA. 24503.
The graveside service will be live streamed.
