Barbara Andrews Arrington
Barbara Andrews Arrington, 77, of Goode died Wednesday June 16, 2010. She was the loving wife of Bobby Allen Arrington, Sr. for over 60 years.
Barbara was born February 9, 1933 in Lynchburg the daughter of the late Price and Bessie Andrews. She was a member of Parkview United Methodist Church and her main passion in life was spending time with her large and devoted family.
In addition to her husband she is survived by five children: Bobby A. Arrington, Jr. and his wife Shannon of Forest, Michael D. Arrington and his wife Brooks of Goode, Gary W. Arrington and his wife Cindy of Lynchburg, Kathy A. Gardner and her husband Garland of Roanoke, and Jeffrey Kent Arrington and his wife Stacey of Bedford, three brothers: Bobby Trent of Forest, Pete Trent of Louisiana, and Eddie Trent of Lynchburg, one sister Annette Eisenburg of California, 12 grandchildren: Amy, Christopher, Wesley, Ryan, Carrie, Matt, Ashley, Emily, Daniel, Brice, Ethan, and Emma, and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday June 20, 2010 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday June 21, 2010 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home with the Rev. Wes Gillespie officiating. Interment will follow at Virginia Memorial Park. Following the committal the family will be hosting a reception at her son\"™s home at 1229 Fox Chapel Lane, in Goode.
