Barbara Jean Carter, age 66, of Arrington, went to be with the Lord on Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25, 2018.
She was born on July 5, 1952 to the late Harrington Carter and the late Virginia Mosby Carter. She always had a sense to help those in need. She had a wonderful outgoing personality and was loved by many. She was always searching for an opportunity to serve her fellow man. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her sister, Virgie Carter of Arrington; and many cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A Celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Tharp Funeral Home, Madison Heights. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
