Barbara East

Barbara East, 82, of Lynchburg, Virginia passed away on November 28, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Jay F., Sr and Martha Marshall, and the wife of Glenn Quesenberry (died February 8, 1993) for 31 years, and Carl East for 29 years.

Barbara East was born on July 5, 1942, in East Aurora, N.Y. She attended school at Canisius College to earn an R.N., then pursued emergency room nursing first at Pulaski Community Hospital, then at Lynchburg General Hospital. 

Barbara was an active member of the Book Club and Garden Club in Forest, Virginia. She engaged in community service in many ways over the years, such as tending town public planting displays. 

In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by her son, her son’s wife, and her grandson; and her sibling Jay F. Marshall, Jr. and spouse Shirley of East Aurora and that extended family of three nephews and their families; and many loving friends in the community. One brother, Patrick Marshall, predeceased her.
