Barbara Lynn McCole, 73, of Forest died Monday April 4, 2016. She was the loving wife of Robert Richard McCole for over 51 years.
Barbara was born in Orange, New Jersey on February 23, 1943 a daughter of the late Thatcher John Levens and Ethel Eck Levens. Barbara was retired as a office manager and devoted homemaker. She loved camping with her family, especially in Maine and was a member of Mountain View United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her son David J. McCole and his wife Marianella of Sneads Ferry, NC, her daughter Cheryl L. McCole of Forest, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Barbara’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday April 9, 2016 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg with the Rev. Steve Propst officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
