Barbara Wills Cawthorne

Barbara Wills Cawthorne, 71, of Lynchburg passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2013.  Born August 8, 1941 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Roy Scott Wills and Vera Harris Wills.

She is survived by: two sons, Michael J. Cawthorne and David Cawthorne (Judy); and one daughter, Michele C. Bernard (Kenneth, Sr.), all of Lynchburg; two sisters, June W. Howard of Lynchburg, and Nancy W. James (Mickey) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; six grandchildren, William Cawthorne, Whitney Moseley, and Scott, Kenny Jr., Mark, and Jason Bernard. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, and one special great-grandson, Clarkson (Lil Man) Moseley, beloved cousin Eleanor Campbell, and special friends Coriene Sabol and Patricia Grohgan.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Roy H. Wills and a sister Jerri Emken.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday May 31, 2013 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday June 1, 2013 at Presbyterian Cemetery with the Rev. Barry Tucker officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society
