Barrye Eugene Maddera, 59, of Forest died Tuesday July 12, 2016. He was the loving husband of Patricia Templeton Maddera for 35 years.
Barrye was born December 7, 1956 in Lynchburg a son of Eugene Davidson Maddera of Lynchburg and the late Doris Overtreet Maddera. Barrye worked in customer service for many years at the Supply Room Companies, Inc. Barrye enjoyed coaching his children in sports and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports.
In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by his daughter Sara M. Johnson and her husband Randy of Vinton, his son Kyle D. Maddera and his fiancé Tammy McClung of Wilimington, NC, two grandchildren, Levi and Mia Johnson, an uncle Jackie Overstreet of Bedford, and one cousin Jeff Overstreet of NC.
A Celebration of Barrye’s Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday July 15, 2016 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg with the Rev. Douglas Pillow officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Memorials may be made to the Lynchburg Humane Society or to the American Cancer Society.
