Benjamin Andrew James, 33, of Lynchburg died Thursday, June 7, 2018. He was the husband to Shaina James.
Ben was born in Remseck, Germany on a U.S. military installation on August 25, 1984 a son of Rafael Rivera James and Susan James both of Fayetteville, NC. He served his country in the U.S. Army, having served tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
Ben was a member of Blue Ridge Community Church.
In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by his children; Malachi Andrew James, Jonathan Thomas James, Caley Ann Coleman, and Nancy Caroline James, his siblings; Sarah-Beth Miller, Joanna Tuckey, and Matthew James all of Fayetteville, NC, Paternal grandmother, Sarah E James and maternal grandmother, Nancy Lee Blitch.
A Celebration of Ben’s Life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Blue Ridge Community Church with Pastor Jack Dunn officiating. Military honors to be performed by both the Virginia National Guard and American Legion Post #16.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
