Bennie Davis Overstreet

Bennie Davis Overstreet, 88, of Bedford, died Tuesday, January 22, 2013 in Bedford Memorial Hospital. Born November 22, 1924 in Bedford County, a son of the late Viola Welch Overstreet and Matthew Overstreet.

In addition to his parents, Bennie was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Magiline Shorts Overstreet. He is survived by a son, Jesse Davis Overstreet and his wife, Joyce of Bedford; two grandchildren, Angie D. Artuhewich and her husband, Mark of Bedford and Stephanie R. Webster and her husband, Joshua of Roanoke; and seven great-grandchildren, Dakota Charles Overstreet, McKenna Elisabeth Louise Artuhewich, Madison Nicole Artuhewich, Hailey Renee Webster, Tyler David Webster, Micah Davis Artuhewich and Caleb Jaxson Webster.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 AM, Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Mt. Herman Baptist Church Cemetery with Mark Artuhewich officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, 540.586.3443.
