Berkley Merritte Dunkley

Berkley Merritte Dunkley, 81 of Lynchburg, Virginia died on Tuesday, December 20, 2011. He was the son of the late Frank Merritte and Ida Belle Dunkley.

Berkley is survived by three sisters; Cecil R. Mathias of Norfolk; Annie Dunkley, and Patty Jennings all of Lynchburg; two brothers, Duvall Dunkley and Danny Dunkley of Lynchburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Berkley has a special love and enjoyed Christmas time with all the festival decorations around him. He also had a special love for colorful balloons.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 23, 2011 at the Chapel of Tharp Funeral Home and Cremation, 220 Breezewood Drive, with the Rev. Gary Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Sharon United Methodist Church in Naurna. A visitation will be held from 7:00 \"" 8:30 pm, Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Home.
