Berlin T. Umberger, Jr., 87, of Lynchburg, VA, died Saturday, April 29, 2017.
Born November 12, 1929 in Richlands, VA, Berlin was a son of the late B. T. Umberger and the late Pearl Nipper Umberger.In addition to his parents, Berlin was preceded in death by his sister, Jean U. Critz, his brother, William M. Umberger and his sister in-law, Rose Umberger.
Berlin is survived by four nephews, Blake Critz, of Salem, VA, William Critz III, of Baltimore, MD, William M. Umberger, Jr., of Phoenix AZ, and Ricky l. Umberger, of MN; three nieces, Vicky U. Lugo, of FL, Roseanne U. Kisich, of Haughton, LA, and Rhonda U. Moore, of LA.
Berlin served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from CRI-Mutual Press after 28 years of service. He was a member of Huntington Court United Methodist Church in Roanoke, VA.
A grave side service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday May 6, 2017 in Sherwood Memorial Park, Salem, VA.
