Bernadine Mary Weatherford

Bernadine Mary Weatherford, 80 of Lynchburg VA, was born December 16, 1943, to the late Joseph Herman and Zita Frances Thesing. On November 15, 2024, while surrounded by her loved ones at Lynchburg General Hospital, Bernadine departed this earthly life and transitioned into eternal rest. 

Bernadine was the youngest of twelve siblings growing up in Barberton, Ohio among a close-knit family. On August 6, 1966, Bernadine married Larry G. Weatherford Jr., her loving and devoted husband of 58 years. Bernadine had two daughters, Melanie and Adrienne, a son, John, five grandsons, and three granddaughters.

Bernadine, a devoted Catholic, enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, walking with Larry, singing in the parish choir, and watching her grandchildren grow up. 

Bernadine was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church of Lynchburg, VA.

Bernadine is preceded in death by siblings Joseph Thesing, Helen Walter, Lucy Sansosti, Frances Sherwood, Monica Krause, Jim Thesing, Zita Gavinesky, and Theresa Herchek, John Thesing and daughter Melanie.

In addition to her husband Larry, Bernadine is survived by her daughter, Adrienne, son, John, and eight grandchildren.

A Mass of Resurrection will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Lynchburg, on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 11:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
