Bernice C. Prekker Kennedy

Bernice “Bea” Clara Prekker Kennedy, 90, of Bedford, died Wednesday,  February  4, 2015.  She was born January 15, 1925 in Clara City, Minnesota, a daughter of the late Edward Prekker and Margaret Christians Prekker.

In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Earl Kennedy; one sister; and five brothers.  She is survived by four children, Eileen Kennedy and her husband, Don James of Gloucester, VA, Mary Madaras and her husband, John Madaras of Forest, VA, Roberta Kennedy and her husband, Justin Dudley of Oak Hill, VA, and Michele Davis and her husband, Lee Davis of Forest, VA; six grandchildren, Bryan Madaras and wife, Michelle, Meredith Carver and husband, Chad, Lauren Thomas and husband, Troy; Stephen James, Allison Davis and Evan Dudley; and six great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Jacob, Aiden, Paige, Logan and Emery.

A celebration of Bernice’s life and memorial service will be conducted at a later date in her home state of Minnesota.  Arrangements by Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, (540) 586-3443.
