Bert H. Seacrist, Jr. of Rustburg died on Friday, June 1, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Linda Dalton Seacrist for almost 50 years.
Bert was born July 20, 1950 to Joyce Wood Seacrist and the late Bert H. Seacrist, Sr. He was preceded in death by a sister Deanna Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memory his two sisters Pat Woods and Vickie Seacrist, also three children: Tina Kress, Donna Lanier (Dean), Keith Seacrist (Angela), 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A close friend like a brother, Mickey Hargis.
Bert’s family was his heart and soul, he was involved with their life events and loved making them laugh. His next love was drywall, he was faithful and took pride in his work. He loved decorating for Christmas and going shopping. He would open his home to underprivileged teens and carry them on vacation. Bert always seemed tough on the outside but had a heart of gold on the inside.
The family will receive friends at the residence; 42 Candlemakers Lane Rustburg. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
