Bertha Bingler Campbell

Bertha Bingler Campbell, 73, of Rustburg, died Sunday, February 14, 2010.  She was the wife of the late Harry F.  Campbell.

Mrs. Campbell was born Monday, September 7, 1936 in Charlottesville, a daughter of the late Frank and Florence Bingler.  She was retired from Campbell County Schools where she was a teacher\"™s aide.  She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia Perry and husband, Clay, of Lynchburg, Frank Campbell and wife, Vicky, of Rustburg, and Allen Campbell and wife, Cindy, of Bedford County; her grandchildren, Franklin Haislip of Rustburg, Heather Schmitt of Rustburg, Spencer Gribbins and wife, Crystal, of Lynchburg, Cody Campbell of Rustburg, Dean Campbell of Bedford County, and Scott Campbell of Bedford County; her great grandchild, Chloe Schmitt; her sisters, Eunice Sacre, Hazel Parrish and husband, Charlie, and Betty Payne, all of Charlottesville; her longtime friend, Dorothy Barker of Lynchburg, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Tharp Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 in Fort Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Paul F. Gillespie officiating.
